No Citizenship Question on 2020 Census

The Census basically grabs information about the population in general. As of the 2020 Census, there is not gonna be a citizenship question. The Trump administration abandoned trying to add the citizenship question to the 2020 Census. As of now, there are forms being printed without the question for the following year.
When there was a citizenship question, it made it really difficult for the Census to obtain information about the population especially in areas full of people with no citizenship. They didn't want to fill out the Census because they were worried as they were undocumented being attacked by ICE. These people believed the Census was asking for too much information that it would bring more harm to them than good. I believe with the citizenship question being taken away, its gonna make it much easier to have a better count of the population. Undocumented people are gonna be less worried about leaving their homes and deportation. Still, with this update, I don't think that all immigrants will fill out the Census immediately. Its gonna take time for them to give out their information as they are less aware of the changes. I definitely believe in the following year, its gonna be enforced and more heard of that the 2020 census does not have the citizenship question to make more people aware because even I'm still learning about this and the only reason I know this is because of AP GOV.
