Michael Bloomberg is a media mogul, owner of Bloomberg, a media company based in New York. He was also the mayor of New York from 2001 to 2013. As of last week, Bloomberg's media campaign for the U.S. presidency has kicked off with a 30 million dollar ad deal. Bloomberg claims he has the best chance to beat Trump because he's "beat him before". He's going to do this by spending more in one week on his campaign than any candidate has ever done before.
But not everyone feels this way. In fact, the majority of political analysts believe that Bloomberg is overextending, and will probably not be able to secure a majority for even the democratic primary. This is a sentiment echoed within his own company. Reporters working for Bloomberg believe, "Michael Bloomberg running for president is 'everybody's nightmare come true.'"
This brings up a lot of strange campaign issues. Since Bloomberg is very anti-Trump, he will have to give up control of his company during his presidency, in accordance with what Trump didn't do. Instead, Trump transferred control of his businesses to his kids. There's now questions about what actually happens to the reporting on Bloomberg. After 10 minutes of searching on Bloomberg, I couldn't find any recent articles about Bloomberg's run, only the first article which covers his announcement. Does that mean that they'll just completely ignore him?
Bloomberg's announcement brings a lot of questions, few of which will probably be answered. This run will, in all likelihood, be little less than a continuation of his last few rumored runs.
